The grandson of Indian Independence leader Mahatma Gandhi recently spoke at East Stroudsburg University’s Frederick Douglass Institute Speaker Series. The younger Gandhi is a historian whose books include an award-winning biography of his grandfather. He was a professor at the University of Illinois. He told the students that he has been speaking on his grandfather’s behalf for 60 years. Mahatma Gandhi died in 1948.
