Folks near Blue Mountain may have noticed some low-flying airplanes yesterday. That’s because, for the next five weeks or so, the Environmental Protection Agency will be spraying seeds on the mountain to restore vegetation. The work is part of the remediation effort for the Palmerton Zinc Pile Superfund Site. The arial seeding is expected to wrap up around April 7.
