As if gas prices weren’t high enough already, get set to pay more soon at the pump. Pennsylvania’s gas tax is already the third highest in the nation, but it will be increasing in 2023. Beginning January 1st, it will rise by 3.5 cents for gas and 4.4 cents for diesel. The current tax is about 58 cents a gallon for gas and 74 cents a gallon for diesel.
