The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture will soon ban the sale of burning bush after it was named an invasive species. The non-native widely planted landscape shrub is popular for its fire-engine-red fall foliage. But it can reach up to 15 feet in height and once established it will displace native vegetation. The ban is expected to begin in early 2023.
