Human Remains Found In Stroudsburg

Human remains were discovered Thursday near the I-80 on-ramp in Stroudsburg. Now, an investigation is underway following the discovery that was made in the wooded area near the Bridge Views Inn on Park Avenue. So far, the Monroe County Coroner says they remains are unidentified and they will be examined by a forensic pathologist.

Traffic data that has been released by the Pennsylvania State Police for Easter weekend, show there were more than 300 DUI arrests and 4 fatal crashes statewide. Flames broke out at a home in Monroe County, leaving at least one person hurt and a a home destroyed. The fire broke out in Chestnuthill Township, near Effort. Offer Submitted For Camp Trexler

Pocono Heritage Land Trust has submitted a bid to buy the 775-acre Camp Trexler in Kunkletown. They say they have also entered into a partnership with the Where Angels Play foundation to split the property, which will mean part of it will be open to the public as a nature preserve.

Dead Man Discovered In Tree

A Pennsylvania man was found dead in a tree over the weekend. It happened in Lancaster County on Saturday afternoon. Emergency responders say it appears the 39 year old man was trimming branches in the tree when one of the branches contacted a power line and he was electrocuted. Nobody else was hurt.
